Introducing RT60 and RT80 Track Systems for Compact Equipment

Mattracks, the company that invented the original rubber track conversion system over 30 years ago, has once again delivered a product line tailored to meet today’s toughest off-road challenges. The newly released RT60 and RT80 track systems are designed specifically for compact articulated machines, bringing tighter control, smoother ride quality, and full functionality in places where standard tires can’t perform.

The two new models join the existing RT125 and RT250, giving Mattracks four RT track systems in the family offering solutions for contractors, utility crews, industrial operators, and anyone who needs more out of their equipment, from small compact machines to heavier platforms with tight clearances.

Fits most popular compact articulated models from Bobcat, Kubota, Avant, ASV, and more.

“The RT60 and RT80 were specifically developed to fit tighter wheel wells while maintaining full articulation and control,” said Richard Voeller, engineer at Mattracks. “They’re built for machines that need to move in small spaces without giving up strength or stability.”

The new track systems feature a shorter design and improved shape, giving articulated loaders and pivot-steer equipment better steering control and stronger traction.

This allows operators to make tighter turns, move smoothly over uneven terrain, and perform tasks more easily, even indoors, on soft surfaces, or in areas where ground protection is necessary.

“The tracks are closer together, which improves steering without sacrificing strength,” Voeller continued. “These systems were made to handle pivot-steer and articulated vehicles with confidence.”

The RT60 and RT80 are equipped with a swivel-mounted lower frame and rubber isolation mounts, which help absorb shock and reduce vibration during operation. This setup not only improves comfort for the operator but also reduces wear on the machine and boosts overall stability. Both models use a smooth tread to minimize impact on finished surfaces and improve balance across changing terrain.

Meanwhile, the RT125, built for larger machines with gross vehicle weights up to 12,500 pounds, delivers similar performance with a different approach: independent rocker arms that adapt to rough terrain with proven results.

The RT250, designed for equipment up to 25,000 pounds, also features a rubber torsion suspension but one designed for significantly greater loads. Like the rest of the RT family it is built compact to fit tight wheel wells while still providing the same purpose-driven capability for heavier applications.

All RT models include Mattracks’ exclusive rubber torsion system, allowing the tracks to move naturally with the ground. This increases traction, protects the machine, and cuts down on bounce, especially when traveling over uneven or unpredictable surfaces.

“It’s all about better contact with the surface and reduced impact on both machine and operator,” added Voeller. “Whether in a building or on muddy terrain, these systems provide reliable traction and a smoother ride.”

The RT60 and RT80 are ideal for compact equipment like screeds, trenchers, small loaders, and Bobcats. Each system can be installed easily, helping crews adapt quickly without downtime. All models are tested in extreme environments, from cold to loose sand, proving they’re ready for real-world demands.

“These weren’t just created to match,” Voeller said. “They were built to meet very real customer needs. We listened to dealers and operators who wanted less vehicle modification, better steering, and strong performance in tight spaces and we delivered.”

Proven Track Systems for Real-World Equipment

Mattracks now offers four RT models to serve a full range of equipment sizes and terrain types:

  • RT60 and RT80 – High maneuverability and ride quality for smaller, more agile machines.
  • RT125 – The go-to solution for heavier vehicles that demand high flotation, traction, and clearance.
  • RT250 – For equipment up to 25,000 lbs; built compact for tight clearances and heavier-duty applications.
